The Truth
Life sucks. It truly does.Zafira figured that out a long time ago. Being on the Council definetly took up time, when she wasnt at work she was watching Alex her adopted son. The night her and Javier got him was horrific. Vinette Riddle had set off and had a masacre of mortals. Alex's parents were sorcerers living in the mortal world. The whole thing was horrific, with every detective in all three American Sanctuaries either dead or incapacitated Zafira finally had to ask Ravel for help. Zafira though of this a lot. It was over a year ago this happened. Vinette was dead. Three people knew the truth. One was dead. Zafira stormed through the corridors of the Sanctuary. Kestrel was trying to get her to talk to some mage. Zafira easily ignored Kestrel. Once in her office the Grand Mage called Elder Marissa.
"What." She growled, "Do you mean Sanguine is looking to kill me?" Marissa spoke calmly,
"He came her requesting an audience with me. He isnt wanted in America so the Administrator let him. He told me that he was telling the truth of Vinette Riddle's death..." Zafira cut her off,
"There IS no truth but she died by injury." The Grand Mage said. Marissa tried to speak, then sighed,
"Of course, Grand Mage." And hung up. Zafira closed her eyes. How could she admit? The truth could ruin her career. Sanguine was a hit man, how could anyone believe him? Zafira felt a bit better. Nobody would know the truth of Vinette Riddle's murder, because Zafira killed her.
